Like many graduates, I have completed university without a clear plan of what I intend to do next. After going through the disheartening process of sending out job applications, with no success, I have decided to make my dreams of seeing the world a reality. For me, travelling has always been the plan for once I finished education. I never really planned in detail where I was going, but always knew there was a world out there I was desperate to see. Now that I have got my university degree, I have decided to go for it and head off travelling round Asia, starting this summer.
In recent years, most of my money has gone towards travel, where I have booked holidays and weekends away for any free moment I could spare. Each of my trips has centred around my two main passions in life; art and travel. From weekends in Cornwall to backpacking round Europe, I have collected photos, postcards and memories that I store away but have always felt should have a safe place to be shared. In the lead up to my travels around Asia, I will share stories and photos from previous trips to hopefully provide helpful insights to anyone reading and researching for their own travels, as well as being good practice for me in learning how to document my adventures.
Before I continue I must state that this is not my first attempt at blogging. Years ago, while I was in High School, I started a blog which I eventually outgrew. I tried writing about some of my shorter trips on this blog, before I then started a travel blog which only had one post before life and studies partly caused me to forget about my blogging endeavours. I will link my old blog here just in case you want to know more about my blogging journey, or even just to laugh at my expense. Despite my poor earlier attempts, now feels like the right time for a fresh start and new blog, where I can devote time to sharing my love of travel and art.
I hope that you enjoy reading my blog, whether you come across my blog in passing or become a regular reader to my ramblings. I'm excited to see what life has in store and would love to take you with me.
